Speaking on Tuesday, President Donald Trump’s personal lawyers sought to probe how the U.S. government had handled alleged fraud claims in the 2020 Presidential Election. Rudy Giuliani and Jenna Ellis, President Trump’s legal team, met with the judges at the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to try to obtain access to voting machines utilized in the Keystone State for a review of their accuracy.
The judges denied the request due to a lack of evidence suggesting vote totals were changed or that any form of fraud had been identified. Giuliani and Ellis disagreed, citing recent investigations in Arizona with reports of Dominion Voting machine malfunctioning with multiple experts calling into question the accuracy of their vote counts.
Giuliani stated that the Department of Justice had failed to investigate many irregularities that occurred during the 2020 election. He argued that in other countries, investigations against the election standards would have already been opened based on the evidence presented. Giuliani explained that the lack of investigations was due to the continuous discrediting of the Trump Team’s legal efforts, with Ellis adding that they would not waiver in their commitment to investigate potential fraud claims until the election results were validated and confirmed to be accurate.
In the court of law the Trump Team presented affidavits from individuals who claimed to have identified votes listed under different names and examples of people on paper ballots indicating they had voted, without registering as voters. The judges denied these claims citing a lack of evidence.
The Trump Team argued that the U.S. government has an obligation to provide justice to the American people, something they believe the Department of Justice has failed to do. While their pursuit for justice will continue, Giuliani and Ellis have suggested that their current plan will include efforts to investigate several other irregularities before time runs out on December 14th when the Electoral College meets to confirm the new President.
